Can the watchman be a Calvinist?
Interesting question to consider. Calvinism as defined by the five points
- Total depravity
- Unconditional election
- Limited atonement
- Irresistible grace
- Perseverance of the saints
The points I believe that the watchmen challenges are Limited atonement and Irresistible grace. Lets look at the four case conditions
- Wicked that die in their sin with no warning
- Wicked that die in their sin with a warning
- Righteous that die in their sin with no warning
- Righteous that sin not because of the warning
